AIMES activities build on improving the biogeochemical and biophysical development of Earth system models as well as the components for integrating human and environmental processes into Earth System Models. More information on the earlier model intercomparison activities can be found on the GAIM website. AIMES activities consist of maximizing the synergies of other global change projects like:
- Coupled Carbon Cycle Climate Model Intercomparison Project(C4MIP)
- Global Emissions Inventory Activity(GEIA)
- Integrated History and Future of People on Earth(IHOPE)
- Young Scholar's Network(YSN)
AIMES is also the primary host of the Integrated History and future of People on Earth (IHOPE) and the Young Scholar's Network (YSN). IHOPE is an activity of AIMES and thus the entire Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP). YSN acts to foster collaborations among young scientists and scholars on integrative research to better understand the role of humans in perturbing biogeochemistry and climate.
